Television’s Police Interceptor launches RoadPeace North East website.
Police Interceptor PC Damien Stevens, star of Channel 5’s ‘Police Interceptors’ and a member of the Cleveland and Durham Roads Policing Unit, will today (Friday 25 November 2016) launch RoadPeace North East’s first ever website.
The website has a host of information to support victims and families in the aftermath of serious and fatal road collisions, including what to expect from medical teams and to then understand more about police investigations.
David Robinson, Chairman of RoadPeace North East and a senior road collision solicitor at specialist personal injury firm Thompsons Solicitors, said: “This website provides victims and families information and support at their finger tips. The website will hopefully guide victims and families through terminology used within hospitals to the procedures within the criminal justice system. A serious or fatal road collision is so sudden and unexpected that people are left not knowing what to do – this website is about having the information readily available to support them”.
The website is to be officially launched at Ian Ramsey CE Academy in Stockton on Tees where PC Stevens will be delivering a presentation on ‘WiseDrive’ to year 9 pupils to empower them to make the right decisions when they come to drive or be passengers.
